OK People, summer's over. Let's get it together. The studio and store at »No Coast are finally in full swing. Come by for our big opening bash on the 11th. And Salem has been kind enough to ask me to speak in public for Chicago Artist's Month on the 16th. It's at the Chicago Cultural Center. Fancy!

No Coast Grand Opening Party!!!
No Coast Collective presents the grand (re)opening of its storefront space with performances by Future Islands (Baltimore) Radical Passenger (Chicago) and special guests from Brooklyn TBA. There will also be a barbecue, bring something to grill.

The four Illinois-based artists on this panel can all be described as "artist/activists" -- the en vogue term for creatives whose work often does more than just carry aesthetic weight. However, is that moniker really necessary? When and where do art and activism activity collide? Join us for a lively discussion with four artists whose past and current projects have run the gamut from advocating for prisoners to infiltrating gay pride parades.
