Over seven years ago (has it really been seven?) Aay (pronounced like the letter "A") left the slimy shores of New York Harbor to discover the wonderful and horrible secrets of the American middle west. Eventually, he found them all, and now he has dedicated himself to crafting new ones, working across several media as an artist and educator. His clothing, public projects and collaborations, including the Soft Shop and the Chicago Tapes Project, have been exhibited throughout the region and featured by the Chicago Reader, Mule magazine, and Chicago Public Radio. When he's not trying to explain ‘persistence of vision’ to fifth-graders or fiddling with crochet hooks, odds are you will find him on a sand dune with a bottle of champagne and some bros. Lesbros.
